ROSE Ceramic Pendant
Inspired by a rose bud. Shaped by movement, imperfection and light.
ROSE is a sculptural ceramic pendant inspired by the layered outer silhouette of a rose bud. Rather than reproducing petals literally, the form translates their movement into a series of flowing, meandering waves carved across the surface of the clay.
The design follows a distinctly wabi-sabi approach. The waves are intentionally irregular, with no fixed pattern, no identical spacing and no uniform termination. Some lines rise, others disappear, overlap or change direction, creating a surface that feels natural rather than engineered.
Because the carved flow is different around every part of the form, ROSE appears different from every viewing angle. A curve visible from one side may completely disappear from another, while a new fold or shadow reveals itself as you move around the pendant.
The sculpted ridges create changing highlights and shadows across the ceramic surface during the day. When illuminated, the open lower edge directs a warm pool of light downward while the surrounding form remains soft, tactile and quietly expressive.
Available in multiple sizes from 8" to 18", ROSA can work as a single pendant over a dining table, bedside or reading corner, or as a group of different sizes over kitchen islands, stairwells and larger spaces.
Its organic form works particularly well in interiors that value natural materials, quiet imperfection and sculptural objects over rigid symmetry.
Every ROSA pendant is made in clay, giving subtle variations in surface, proportion and firing that naturally complement the intentionally irregular design.
ROSE is not a pattern repeated around a form. It is a form that keeps changing as you move around it.
