Naaya Canista Ridges Scondent
The ridges running around the Canista body are cut while the clay is still soft, so each groove carries a slightly different depth. Under light those ridges throw fine vertical shadows down the side of the shade, which gives the fixture texture even when it is switched off. It mounts flush, making it suitable for a dining area with a low false ceiling or a lobby where a hanging lamp would obstruct the walkway. The relief pattern reads well in both plain clay and colour finishes. Five sizes are offered. Each ridge is worked by hand in the Bengaluru studio, so no two lamps match exactly.
